For the second year in row a hackathon was organized. The aim of this contest was to develop a machine-learning tool that can identify and predict the movement of a vessel. DEME delivered the data and was part of the jury. All teams got maximum 23 hours, it only took our AG Solution engineers Juri, Sergio & Marc less than 20 hours to create an intuitive visual display that enables quick and accurate analysis of data gathered by the platform’s sensors. This simple and efficient solution was made possible by the team’s expertise with tools such as PIOLEDB (for querying data), Microsoft ML.NET framework (for generating models), the powerful system intelligence of PI AF and the visualization tools of PI Vision.

The event offered a rich agenda, for both new and already experienced users, with lots of opportunities to network and learn from the extensive PI System Community.

During the event, AG Solution presented real world business cases in their own showroom. Some of the most advanced and useful solutions were presented:

• OEE Calculation
• Energy management

Alex Destruel and Marc Olivé presented the ‘Operational Challenges’ of the F&B industry. It is clear that this industry is getting more & more digitalized so the need for powerful and reliable process monitoring tools has been growing.

The OSIsoft PI 2018 congress in Barcelona was a success and AG Solution proved that it is a strong & reliable OSIsoft partner.
