Industrial environments have been capturing data from production process for a long time. But how to wisely process this data to sustainably anchor the added value of AI applications in your business context remains a real challenge.

Why participate?

This masterclass offers a step-by-step journey of four sessions to provide industrial companies a set of best practices and frameworks in setting up and maintaining innovative (AI) data projects.

What to expect?

The masterclass consists of 4 online sessions. Each session contains 1.5h of interactive presentation and 30min of questions. We acknowledge the sensitivity of some questions, and we therefore facilitate breakout rooms for more private discussions with our experts.

This masterclass is tailored to all industrial profiles from maintenance/operation/innovation engineers to plant/CI/process improvement managers and even industrial data scientists. We can cater to such a diverse audience due to the unique mix of speakers and the format of the classes.

Who are the trainers?

• Wybren van der Meer - OI Team leader (AG Solution)

Wybren van der Meer is one of the OI team leaders in AG Solution, involved intimately in operational intelligence projects in food, chemical and pharma. He's aware of connections, data, sources, calculations, displays and direct references to control data, raw or cleaned. With the data, he's able to set up systems that perform advanced analyses, process improvements, direct or aggregated reporting and end-user solutions. Before this, Wybren studied Physics at the university of Ghent and Eindhoven.

• Levi Slap - AI Team Leader (AG Solution & Quariq)

Levi Slap is the AI Team Leader at Quariq and AG Solution, where he offers advice and expertise to organisations to help them improve their data performance. He has run several OSIsoft PI project to help companies store, contextualising and visualising industrial process data. With this data he is then able to perform statistical and machine learning analysis to further improve a process or perform predictive maintenance. Before his days at AG Solution Levi studied Physics at the university of Antwerp and Master in AI at the KULeuven.

• Véronique Van Vlasselaer, Data & Decision Scientist

Véronique is a the Analytics & AI lead for SWE at SAS, and a true data science enthusiast. In her job, she passionately helps companies to envision and prepare for an AI-driven future, embrace the power of data science to support intelligent decisioning, and discover the real value in their data. Before she joined SAS, she graduated as Doctor in Business Economics at the KU Leuven (Belgium) with the department of Information Management and Decision Sciences under prof. dr. Bart Baesens. Her Ph.D is oriented towards the development of fraud detection frameworks and solutions from a data science perspective. She is co-author of the book “Fraud Analytics Using Descriptive, Predictive, and Social Network Techniques: A Guide to Data Science for Fraud Detection”.
